Basic Rules
No candy, food or soft drinks in class
Students are expected to follow directions, complete assigned work and be respectful to any other person in the classroom.
Students are expected to remain quiet when the teacher or another student is talking. A student who violates this rule is subject to 1) student-teacher conference 2) parent contact, 3) referral to Guidance Learning Counselor.
No running in class
No students shall be permitted to leave classroom without a pass.
All students must be in their seats when class begins. Roll taken at the beginning of period.
You are expected to conduct yourself in a socially acceptable manner in class. Be Cool!
Reasons for loss of points
Too many warnings about behavior
Tardies and Referrals
Phone use
Being disrespectful. Put downs and name calling.
Profanity
Get points;
*Daily progress (DP) Daily participation.
Large projects (LP) 100 points
Small drawings (SM) 10 points

Elements of Art; Line, Shape, Form, Space, Texture and Color.
Color theory; Primary, Secondary and intermediate color wheels. Warm vs. Cool. Analogous, Complementary and Monochromatic color schemes.
Online cartooning; (incorporating Line, Shape, Form and Space). Draw 3d.
Barramundi Fish; Aboriginal Art from the continent of Australia.
Islamic tiles; Pattern drawing from the Muslim culture. Colored pencils and Folding with paper.
Creative Hands; Using vocabulary and your hands for self expression.
Crayon Resist; Using crayon and watercolor to create works of Art.
Papunya Dot Painting; Aboriginal Art from the continent of Australia. Tempera Paint
Adinkra Symbols; African symbols. Art form originating from Ghana, Africa. India ink and watercolor or Crayon Resist method.
Shades of the Sixties; A slice of the 1960’s. Colored pencils.
Mola collages: Central American artwork from the San Blas Islands, Archipelago, Panama. Kuna tribe. Construction paper and glue
Animalitos; Paper Mache animals.
